How It Works
Steps to use the Guard Patrol System:
- Strategic Placement of Location Tags: Begin by strategically positioning the location tags in key areas of the building that require surveillance. To maximize coverage, ensure an even distribution of location tags throughout the premises. This strategic placement enables guards to effectively cover more areas during patrols.
- Scanning Process for Guards: Instruct the guard to scan each location tag using the handheld reader. The process is simple: at the end of the reader there is a rim which can be inserted onto the metal coin on the location tag,. Upon successful scanning, the reader emits a distinctive beep noise, and the LED indicator flickers, indicating the completion of the scan. This ensures that every designated area is thoroughly monitored during patrols.
- Verification and Monitoring with the Docking Station: To verify the guard’s patrol activities and monitor their progress, utilize the docking station. Insert the reader into the docking station and connect it to your computer. Through the dedicated application, you can access comprehensive details of the patrols. The application provides a detailed log of each scanned location tag, including timestamps. This allows for thorough oversight, ensuring that patrols are conducted as per protocol.
- Customization and Organization: The application offers the flexibility to customize location tag names for easier identification. You can rename the location tags to more familiar terms, such as “breakroom” or “office area.” This customization enhances organization and simplifies tracking during patrols.
- By following these step-by-step instructions, you can effectively implement and utilize the Guard Patrol System to enhance security and surveillance within your premises.
With their more regular and thorough patrols, you will have peace of mind knowing your area has been surveilled by your security guard. You can check the record of your security guard’s patrols by plugging into a computer and it would show every location tag, date and time your guard has scanned.
